Peel Outdoor Smoking By-law
The Region of Peel, in collaboration with the Cities of Mississauga and Brampton, and Town of Caledon, joins over 70 Ontario municipalities that have introduced outdoor smoking by-laws. The Peel Outdoor Smoking By-law can be viewed here. The Peel Outdoor Smoking By-law will protect children and the public from the harmful effects of second-hand smoke. The Region of Peel wants to create the healthiest possible environment for everyone in Peel. Residents, visitors and their children will no longer have to walk through a cloud of tobacco smoke when they enter or exit a municipal building, community centre, arena, playground or sports field. Read the frequently asked questions about the by-law. These enforcement signs will be posted in some areas in Peel.
